Full description
Every Pet on Postage Stamp Portrait begins with the photo you upload. I recreate your pet’s expression and key features, then design a stamp-style
composition with classic border framing, perforated edges, and a lightly aged, collector-style paper texture.
This style is a favourite for both gifts and pet memorial portraits — it feels timeless, gentle, and meaningful without being overly formal.
If you choose, I can include your pet’s name and/or memorial dates tastefully within the stamp design, keeping everything balanced and readable.
You’ll receive a high-resolution digital file (no physical print included), so you can print at home, use an online printer, or visit a local print shop.
A4 and A3 are most popular, and larger sizes are available on request.

Important – photo quality & edits
Your finished portrait can only be as detailed as the photo you upload.
I can improve clarity, balance tones, and create a vintage stamp texture, but I can’t invent detail that isn’t visible in the original image.
For best results, please upload:
- A clear, well-lit photo (daylight is ideal)
- Your pet’s face in focus (not blurry)
- Original files where possible (not screenshots)
- Full face visible (not cropped or cut off)
Edits & tweaks
This product is designed as a streamlined portrait in one consistent Postage Stamp style.
Small adjustments (tone, texture strength, border balance, text placement) are included.
Major changes (switching photos after work begins, multiple new variations, heavy redesign) may require an additional fee.
FAQs
1) What is the Pet on Postage Stamp portrait style?
Your pet is illustrated as though featured on a collectible stamp, complete with period texture, perforated edges, and a stylised border.
2) Is this suitable for memorials?
Yes — the nostalgic stamp format works beautifully as a remembrance piece, especially with optional name and dates.
3) Can you add names, a message, or dates?
Yes — you can add a name, a short message (a few words), and/or memorial dates. I’ll keep it tasteful and balanced within the design.
4) Can multiple pets be included on one “stamp”?
Yes — though the design works best with one or two pets. For more than two, email contact@petlegacy.co.uk for options.
5) Do you use AI to make this pet portrait?
I combine up to four design tools; some styles incorporate AI-assisted steps. Every final portrait is customised, refined, and exported in high resolution.
6) What print size is best?
A4 and A3 look excellent. Larger poster sizes are available on request — I’ll advise the best setup.
7) Can you work from old photos?
Yes — I’ll work with what you have, particularly for memorial portraits. If the photo is too unclear, I’ll contact you to request another image.
8) Can I request specific background colours or country-inspired styles?
Yes — add your preference in the order notes (e.g. sepia tone, warm paper, pastel look, “UK/USA/Europe inspired” feel) and I’ll do my best to match it.
9) How long does it take to receive my custom stamp portrait?
Up to 5 working days (standard), or 3 working days with express (if available / selected).
10) Will I get a print or digital version?
You receive a high-resolution digital file (PDF/PNG). Printed versions may be ordered separately if you offer them.
